Mud Bath

Mud Bath

3.4 girls John Fletcher

What a great performance from our Year 3/4 girls football team tonight that played against a very strong John Fletcher Primary School. As you can see from the pictures, the conditions weren’t the best for our usual passing style of play but the girls had a great time and still put in an excellent performance, especially in the 2nd half. John Fletcher dominated the 1st the half but with our goalkeeper and defence on amazing form, they only managed to score 1. The 2nd half was a different story with Grange Park absolutely dominating possession but we just couldn’t get the ball in the net, we think the ball stopped in the mud on their goal line at least 3 times. As we went all out attack to try and get the equaliser, John Fletcher caught us on the break twice and even with our goalkeeper being on magnificent form and making some great saves throughout the game, their was nothing she could do to stop their great goals. Despite going behind by three goals our girls attitude remained positive and they got their reward with a fantastic team goal towards the end of the match. Couldn’t of been any prouder of these girls tonight, another fantastic team performance in very tricky conditions. Every match they play they are improving. Well done girls #TeamGP

Sponsor Appeal – Unfortunately because the boys had to wear the year 3/4 kit at last nights county finals, the girls team tonight had to wear the Year 5/6 girls kit. Although they loved wearing this kit, some of the girls looked like they were wearing a dress rather than a football top. If anyone that owns or works for a company that would be interested in sponsoring our Year 3/4 girls football team with their very own kit, please contact Mr James on lee.james2@taw.org.uk

Year 3/4 County Finals

3.4 County Cup

Well done to our Year 3/4 football team that tonight played in the final round of the U9 County Cup. The standard of football was very high tonight but the boys did the school proud again. Unfortunately we didn’t qualify to the semi finals after drawing 2 matches and losing the other. The highlight of the night was the boys last match where they came back from being 2-0 down after 2 minutes to eventually drawing 2-2. The boys showed great bouncebackability and a brilliant never give up attitude #TeamGP
