Well done to our Year 5/6 girls football team that won 2-1 tonight against Hollinswood Primary School. The girls put on a great passing display again tonight but it looked at one point that we would never score with the Hollinswood keeper making some outstanding saves in the first half, including two penalty saves. The girls never gave up though and scored two fantastic team goals. Well done #TeamGP
Thank you St George’s Primary School for organising the KS1 Football Festival this morning. Our boys had a fantastic time #TeamGP
Well done to our Year 3/4 girls football team that narrowly lost 2-1 to a good St George’s team tonight. The girls were winning 1-0 for most of the match but were caught on the counter attack twice by a player that scored two very good individual goals with only a few minutes left. The Grange Park girls could of been 4 or 5 nil up by half time if it wasn’t for the St George’s goalkeeper making some great saves and us hitting the post a few times. The girls will definitely bounce back from this result and we look forward to the next game #TeamGP
We’ve just been sent the results from this years T&W Indoor Athletics competition and #TeamGP have been crowned champions 2017/2018 with an amazing team score. The last two years Grange Park have finished in 2nd place and we thought our chances might of slipped away, but this team have taken it to another level with their outstanding scores recorded. The team had trained extremely hard in PE and after school clubs last half term and this was evident with the performance on the day and now with the results.
This result just shows that hard work and practice pays off.
Couldn’t be any prouder of this whole team and their fantastic achievement. The trophy will hopefully be arriving at school this week.
Well done #TeamGP, another record broken.
Well done to our Year 3/4 girls football team that tonight won 7-1 against Hollinswood. This was the first time these girls had ever played in a competitive football match and they were brilliant. As the game went on their confidence grew and they looked liked a totally different team to the one that started the match. Very proud of every player tonight #TeamGP
Well done to our Year 5/6 Athletics team that won the T&W Indoor Athletics competition this morning against 12 other schools. We won’t find out if we have won overall until this afternoons results are complete. The children have worked so hard training for this event in PE and after school clubs over the last half term and it showed this morning with some outstanding results on both the track and field events.
Well done to our KS2 Sportability team that competed in the T&W competition this morning. The children had to compete in 6 events each and they all got some fantastic scores. The team finished 2nd out of 14 teams, a great achievement. Well done #TeamGP
Very proud of our Year 5/6 football team that tonight unfortunately got knocked out of the Telford cup in the second round. The boys were up against a very good Newdale team and the game was end to end throughout. Grange Park took the lead early on but came in at half time 2-1 down. Within minutes of the second half the boys were 4-1 down but they showed great character to get back into the match 4-3. With only 10 minutes left in the game we went for it and unfortunately our opponents caught us on the counter attack.
The game finished 7-4 to Newdale. What we were most proud of tonight was the great attitude shown by every single GP player, not once did any player moan at another player or sulk when our opponents scored, they were an absolute credit to the school. The boys were disappointed to lose, but somethings are more important than football and we couldn’t be any prouder of the performance tonight. Good luck Newdale in the next round.
We’ll bounce back boys #TeamGP
Well done to our Year 6 girls football team that tonight played against a very good Old Park Primary School team. The girls won the match 5-0 but this was a great test for them and the game was a lot closer than the scoreline shows. A great way to bounce back after Wednesdays ESFA heartbreak. Keep it up girls #TeamGP
Well done to our Year 5/6 netball team that have qualified to the next stage of the Telford & Wrekin cup for the first time in the schools history. The team have improved massively this year already and fully deserved to get through to the next round after three fantastic team displays tonight. All the hard work at training has paid off and we’ve never seen a smile as big as Mrs Greenhill’s after the last match tonight. Good luck in the finals round #TeamGP
