Year 3/4 In House Match

Year 3/4 In House Match

Unfortunately our Year 3/4 football match against St Patrick’s Primary School today had to be cancelled. As our boys were so disappointed, we decided to hold our own in house football match.

The boys all had a fantastic time and the match finished 3-3, with the yellow team scoring a last minute equaliser after being 3-1 down with only 5 minutes left.

The game was very competitive throughout with both teams desperate to win. This was the 1st time lots of these children had ever played in a competitive football match and they were fantastic.

Mr Thorpe commented on how well all the boys had played.

SSSAA Awards Night

SSSAA Awards Night

Tonight Grange Park Primary School received ‘The SSSAA Peter Cates Primary School Achievement Award’ for our successful girls football teams over the last two years.

As we’ve had over 40 girls represent a girls football team this year already, we had to pick 6 names out of a hat to attend the awards. The girls had a great night listening to Shrewsbury Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Dave Edwards and Nic Coward from UK Athletics.

As expected, the girls were all superbly behaved but we might have 6 very tired children in school tomorrow. #TeamGP

KS2 Beat the Keeper

KS2 Beat the Keeper

Well done and thank you to all the children that took part in the ‘Beat the Keeper’ competition today.

Over 200 children took part which means Mr James had to face over 600 penalties this morning.

We have currently raised £45 but we have lots of children bringing in their 50p’s on Monday as they forgot today, but we still let them take part.

Every child scored at least one goal past Mr James 🙂

Mr James gave out over 200 lollipops and just under 100 packs of Haribo, but special mention to our 4 medal winners below:

Ashman – Year 3
Joshua Z – Year 4
Daniel – Year 5
Mr Lambie – Year 6 Teacher (Lucky)

Thank you again
