Well done to our Year 5 Tag Rugby team that tonight won 19-12 against HLC Primary School. This was our first year 5 competitive tag rugby game of the year but you wouldn’t of guessed after this fantastic display. The children worked so well as a team and were constantly encouraging and helping each other throughout the game. It was a pleasure to watch and coach such a great team.
What a performance and what a night. To go from never playing football a year ago to now being the Telford & Wrekin Champions. Well done girls, all the hard work paid off. Well done to our Year 4 girls football team that tonight won the cup final against HLC 4-0. The girls saved their best performance of the season for tonight and fully deserved their victory. Amazing girls #TeamGP #Champions
Well done to all the girls that took part in the Grange Park girls football week. We had a great week and it was fantastic to see so many girls playing football. We had 70 girls from years 2,3 and 4 sign up to take part and we held our very own Grange Park Champions League competiton. All the games were closely contested but in the end we had a clear winning team ………………… Real Madrid. Well done Pink team. We will be getting the trophy engraved soon.
Well done to the 5 girls that won the individual football prizes. It was so hard to pick 5 winners out of the 70 fantastic performances throughout the afternoon.
We will hopefully be running Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 girls football after school clubs again next half term.
Also please dont forget Randlay Colts Junior Football Club are currently looking for girls to join their new teams. For more information please contact Delwyn Delo on: email@example.com
Well done again girls
Well done to our Year 4 girls football team that tonight won 5-1 against HLC’s Year 5/6 team. The girls now have one more friendly match before their big cup final on Thursday 5th May. The team are improving every match and their hard work and determination in training is really paying off with some fantastic results in recent games.
Well done girls
Well done to our Year 4/5 girls football team that took part in Shropshire’s U10 girls Futsal competition tonight in Shrewsbury. The girls were placed in an extremely tough group but put in some fantastic performances and finished 2nd. A very good Newport team finished top and qualified to the semi final stage after beating us 3-0. Despite Grange Park having a few chances in the match, it is fair to say the better team won and our girls learnt lots from the match. Well done girls.
Our Year 4 girls football team have had some amazing wins/performances this season so it might seem strange to say todays 4-0 loss to Meadows Primary School Year 6 team was performance of the year but the girls played some fantastic football tonight. With our Year 4 girls cup final fast approaching we are trying to play teams that will challenge our girls. This was definitely going to be a tough challenge as Meadows beat our Year 4/5/6 girls team earlier in the year. Despite losing the match tonight, our girls were fantastic and we learnt more than we have in any other game this season. For long parts of the game today Grange Park had possession of the ball but found it hard to break through Meadows tough defence and goalkeeper in the final third. Meadows very good team fully deserved their win and hopefully we can play them again before our final in May. Well done girls #TeamGP
We have been sent the date for our Year 4 girls football team Cup Final.
The girls will be playing at The New Bucks Head Stadium, home of AFC Telford United on Thursday 5th May. The official kick off time hasn’t been decided yet but we will probably be looking at around 4pm.
We would obviously love as much support as possible for this event and show the girls how proud we are of them reaching the cup final. There is normally a small entry fee for spectators with the money going to support primary school football in Telford & Wrekin.
As soon as we have an official kick off time and entry price we will update everyone.
Whatever will be will
We’re going to Wembley (The New Bucks Head Stadium)
Que Sera Sera
Well done to our amazing Year 4 girls football team that competed in the Telford & Wrekin football competition this afternoon. The girls were once again fantastic and won all five matches to now reach the Telford Cup Final that will played at the home of AFC Telford United, The New Bucks Head. The girls were in a very tough group but they came through without conceding a single goal winning 2-0, 5-0, 6-0 and 4-0. This in itself was a massive achievement but what happened next topped that. Grange Park were then drawn to play another unbeaten team St Peters Edgmond in the semi final. St Peters got off to a very good start scoring within a minute of the match. This took our girls by surprise as it was the first goal they had conceded all afternoon and we nearly conceded again shortly after but our goalkeeper pulled off a fantastic one v one save. The girls then gritted their teeth and put in arguably their best performance of the day to come back and win 3-1. They fully deserved their win today and now have the Telford Cup Final to look forward to in June. Todays competition was 5-a-side but the cup final will be 7-a-side which means the two girls that unfortunately missed out today (Lacey.W & Ebony.W) but have played most of the games this season for the team will also be able to play in the cup final. All the hard work the girls have put in this season with training and friendlies has really paid off and they fully deserve all the credit they will receive. Well done girls, you have done the school proud once again. #TeamGP
Tonight our boys competed in the semi final stage of the Shropshire Schools County Cup competition at the Shrewsbury Sports Village. The standard of all the teams that reach this stage of the competition is very high and the matches on the night were extremely close. Grange Park had to play four matches tonight and went undefeated for all four but unfortunately we couldn’t find the goals to win our games and drew all of them with scores: 1-1, 0-0, 1-1, 0-0. This meant that our boys narrowly missed out on reaching the final, finishing 2nd in their group. I’m sure anyone that watched these games would agree that Grange Park dominated all four games but just couldn’t quite find the golden touch in the final third. The players did fantastic to reach this stage of the competition and on another night could quite easily of been the team that reached the final. Lots of positives to take from tonight into next seasons County Cup and the rest of this season. Well done boys.
